The University of North Carolina School of Law’s Center for Banking and Finance is proud to sponsor the Foundations of Bank Compliance program. This program will provide 16 hours of in-person instruction geared toward bank compliance professionals with 1 to 4 years of experience, as well as those who work with them, including risk, internal audit, and legal professionals. The 16 hours of in-person instruction will be spread over four afternoons. Two virtual Lunch & Learns will be offered prior to the program to provide an overview of banking and banking law. In-person instruction will be provided by senior bank compliance professionals. The program includes receptions on the first and last days, featuring compliance professionals from the program’s Advisory Board.
The mission of the Center for Banking and Finance is to play a leadership role in the continual evolution of the financial services industry by studying the legal and policy issues related to banking and finance, advancing the teaching of banking and finance (including the professional development of law students interested in careers in banking and finance), and sponsoring conferences for banking industry professionals. The Center provides a variety of support to banking lawyers nationwide.
Course Credit for Attorneys
Foundations of Bank Compliance will apply for 16.75 hours of general CLE and 1.25 hours of Ethics (18 hours total) from the North Carolina State Bar.
CLE Credit in Other States
A certificate of attendance will be available at the program. Out-of-state MCLE filing and payment of any fees are the responsibility of the attendee.
