Biography

Ed Noonan is Chief Compliance Officer at Truist. He oversees the company’s compliance program and brings extensive experience advising financial institutions on consumer lending, mortgage servicing, regulatory compliance, examinations, and legal risk management. Prior to his current role, Noonan served as Deputy Program Executive and Senior Associate General Counsel at Truist. Earlier in his career, he held several leadership positions at SunTrust Bank, and he was an attorney at Hunton & Williams LLP and a law clerk for the Supreme Court of Virginia.

Noonan received his JD from the University of Richmond School of Law and his BA in Political Science and Government from the University of Richmond.
